The Vampire Lestat x Fender

The Vampire Lestat (Season Three of Interview With the Vampire) was going all in on in-world. We needed a bigger audience and legitimacy in the music space.

Music to Our Ears

The in-world campaign for The Vampire Lestat needed legitimacy to pull in new pop culture aficionados and music fans. What we built was much more than a stunt--a relationship that touched every team in the business.

A Rock God's Weapon of Choice

With a full marketing campaign in-world, we needed to be serious about integrations--they had to feel authentic, sexy, and unapologetic. The weapon of a rock god--his guitar. But with limited marketing dollars, eCommerce needed a holistic partnership that benefitted from the show content itself, and visa versa.

Beyond Product Placement

It's not a Coke can--the Fender guitars in The Vampire Lestat are built in collaboration between a diehard fan at Fender, their art department, the series Showrunner, and Creative Director for the show. The guitar will 'transform' throughout the series, offering integration and monetization from pre-premiere through long after the finale.

Fan-forward Mutual Success

Both Fender and Interview With The Vampire/The Vampire Lestat are fan-first and fan-forward, driven by a mutual respect and appreciation of artistry. How did we know the opportunity audiences overlapped? The noise in the room at San Diego Comic Con when they played the Fender onstage.
